A police inspector in Karnataka has been suspended for negligence in the investigation of the desecration of an idgah (mosque) in Belagavi district. Two teenage girls from Fort Kochi Kerala who had been missing for two days were found safe in Thiruvananthapuram. The girls aged 16 and 17 were reported missing by their families on Saturday and had left home without informing anyone. According to the police the girls had run away to Thiruvananthapuram to meet someone they had befriended online. They were brought back to Fort Kochi and reunited with their families.
