Almost 71000 Finnish households were without power at midnight after a winter storm brought heavy sleet and snow along with strong winds to large parts of the country. With strong winds set to continue for another couple of hours the number of households affected by outages could rise to 100000 a meteorologist at the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) said to Helsingin Sanomat.
